Coming out in April the new Ducati Monster 696

The new Ducati Monster 696 is coming out this April 2008. It has a powerful Ducati L-twin cylinder (2 valves per cylinder Desmodromic), and air cooled engine that promises a smooth riding experience. It has a tubular steel trellis frame and two aluminum mufflers. Its instruments, displayed in a digital unit, includes a rev counter, clock, lap time, a speedometer, oil temperature, air temperature, trip fuel, scheduled maintenance warning, warning light for low oil pressure, fuel level, fuel reserve, turn signals, neutral, overrev and immobilizer. And it is ready for DDA system. It weighs about 161 kilograms or 355 lbs. excluding the battery, lubricants, and cooling liquid.

The Monster 696 has a clutch that comes with hydraulic control. It has a new triple arc main beam for its headlamp unit, while modern LED technology is used for the rear light. The fuel tank’s removable outer skins and passenger seat cover can be easily removed to allow swapping of colors according to your mood. Available in colors Red, Black and Silver.
