2008 Ford Escape Hybrid

The 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid is a 4-door, 5-passenger sport-utility, available in two trims, the FWD and the 4WD. A variable-Speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims. The 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid is still one of the most efficient small SUV’s available today, with an estimated EPA-34/30 mpg (city / highway) for the front-wheel-drive model.

• Like his predecessor, the 2008 Escape Hybrid uses a gas / electric propulsion, which consists of a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. Total system output is 155 hp and a continuously variable automatic transmission is standard.
• The Escape Hybrid is moving in near silence on electrical energy. Ford says that the maximum speed of the Escape Hybrid can in this way is about 25 mph.
• Like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, the Escape Hybrid is quite stiff suspension tuning that ensures a solid ride.

The car has options include a six-CD Audiophile stereo, a 110-volt outlet in the front center console and a navigation system with a 6.5-inch screen. This screen can also show hybrid power and fuel in the last 15 minutes in a bar. Many options are bundled together in the Hybrid Premium Package, including the 110-volt outlet
