The wireless controller comes with the capability to be anything from a pointer, a remote and a controller. Add-ons are available in the form of tennis rackets and microphones. The remote has infrared detection which can detect its position in 3D space. The incident strap allows the Wii remote to be adhered to the arm with the strap to avoid the remove being thrown at the television!

There are no barriers between the demographics of people that can play a Wii. Seniors are using it to remain agile; children are using it to make the transition from sitting on a sofa playing video games to using the console to get into shape.
