Wasauna Scores Big With Novara

by Magneto

This is one bad-ass shower, folks. The Novara Steam Shower is the Cadillac of showers, with plenty of room for two. With notable features like an 8″ rain shower head, seven different colors of mood lighting, and a built-in FM radio, you may just keep showering until the next morning.

Wasauna, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, equips the Novara – a self-contained unit that doubles as a whirlpool bath – with everything you’d want in a bathing experience, including a 20-feature control panel with time and temperature settings, a steam generator, a total of 20 massage jets between shower and bath, tempered glass doors, and a removable hand shower wand. If this doesn’t satisfy your thirst for shower power, nothing else will.

Mercury Lighting from another Galaxy

by Magneto

Some say lighting makes the room, but this company says lighting makes the man. Artemide has been making artistic statements with commercial and decorative lighting solutions since 1959, with current holdings in six countries. Now, they give you the Mercury Suspension and the Mercury Ceiling. It comes in two flavors and two styles, offering a choice between an aluminum or chrome finish and either a ceiling mount or a suspension model that brings it closer to earth. The source of its illumination is two 200W halogen lamps, included. The Mercury is aptly named, because it closely resembles large globs of mercury suspended in mid-air. Their unique finish reflects natural light by day, and at night the light takes on a unique, eclectic glow. Yes, it is contemporary, but for those with a flair for the here and now, it’s a perfect vehicle for party conversation. With its $2,700 price tag, it better be.

Having already volunteered for monolith projects like BM Plaza and Mary Kay headquarters in Shanghai and three girder giants in the ambitiously austere DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) – Tameer Towers, Tower 38, and Currency House in the UAE (United Arab Emirates), Gensler is no stranger to skyscrapers.
