Montblanc and Minerva Make Beautiful Music Together

by Magneto

Montblanc began business in 1906 as the Simplo Filler Pen Company, quickly building a reputation for the finest writing instruments in the world. Today the Montblanc brand has expanded its product line to include leather, jewelry, fragrance, and watches. Their acquisition of Minerva, fine watchmakers themselves with 150 years of tradition in the industry’s famous city of Villeret, represents a leap forward in prestigious watch collections for Montblanc.

Their first collaborative offering speaks well of things to come. Mother-of-pearl inlays, hand finished movements, fine striping and detail throughout, these are the hallmarks of the Collection Villeret 1858. The superior quality of these watches is in line with the company’s philosophy for superb craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The collection boasts a full-featured display with large minute and second hands, a power reserve indicator dial at 6 o’clock to indicate the need for manual winding, day/night display at 2 o’clock and a 30-minute chronograph at 3 o’clock, with generous white gold styling throughout. A platinum series will be augmented by a handful of limited editions in white gold and rose gold. Find more info here.
