Audi TT RS – Geneva Motor Show Debut
by Magneto
The auto world is abuzz with the showcase of the 2009 Audi TT RS, debuting this month at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with industry heavyweights like Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Mercedes-Benz, Audi’s latest sport vehicle is a worthy competitor for attention. Its 2.5 liter turbo, 5-cylinder engine touts 340 bhp and 331 lb.-ft of torque.
The Coupe and Roadster models reach 100 km/h in 4.6 and 4.7 seconds respectively and are officially rated for a top speed of 155 mph, but can be tweaked if you ask the salesperson nicely. It has switchable Electronic Stabilization, standard 18-inch wheels, all-wheel drive, and a 6-speed gearbox to give your adrenaline a workout. Though not initially slated for US distribution, with no word on an MSRP, the new TT is sure to be a popular choice for sports car enthusiasts later this year. Find more info here.
