Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Tourbillon
by marczeale
A talented young man named Jean-François Bautte started Girard-Perregaux in 1791 in Geneva, as a purveyor of fine watches for royalty in Europe. Known for thin, precision cases and attention to detail through extensive research and development, the company’s exquisite collection includes both sport and vintage watches for ladies and gentlemen of discriminating tastes.
Their elegant set of watches includes a Vintage 1945 Tourbillon, a mechanism that compensates for the effects of gravity on watch movement, with three gold bridges that capture the soul of a classic pocket watch. The pink gold case is water resistant to 30 metres, has a 48 hour power reserve, and set with 30 jewels and a fine black alligator strap.
