2010 Lincoln MKZ – Affordable Luxury

by marczeale

Lincoln’s love affair with the Zephyr production model springs forward this year with the release of the 2010 Lincoln MKZ, its mid-size luxury sparkler with a base price just over $34,000. This year’s model shows up with a significant amount of re-design, sharing a few features with its brethren in the MK line.

A new split grille on the car’s front end is a nice touch, and both headlights and taillights are sportier now. The cabin has benefitted from significant upgrades that improve the car’s personality considerably. The keyless entry system for doors and trunk can be controlled by keypad or wireless remote. The 3.5 liter, V6 engine provides 263 hp and achieves at least 24 mpg on the highway.

The luxury sedan is also dressing up well with some nice internal features like temperature-controlled leather bucket seats in front, a rear-view camera, and a standard Sirius Travel Link system that supplies vital traffic, navigation, and weather information as well as satellite radio and 10GB storage space for 2,400 songs, all controlled from an 8” touch-screen display.

The newest MKZ supplies stiff competition to more expensive luxuries from Hyundai, Mercedes, and Lexus, and its quiet ride and contemporary styling is sure to win a cluster of converts who appreciate the level of sophistication this latest Lincoln offers drivers.
