Eumar’s Abisko – A Natural Basin Beauty

Sometimes it only takes a simple design to make a unique difference in home decor, one that makes you wonder why nobody had thought of it before. Such is the case with the Abisko washbasin by Eumar, a small company that operates out of the tiny country of Estonia in northern Europe.

Eumar has steadily gained ground as a quality vendor for marble basins that provide a durable fixture for a wide range of bathrooms. In this case, the Abisko appeals for its simplicity, purity, and conservation, utilizing a single piece of marble to cascade water into a discrete floor-level grated drain. The one-piece is held flush on the wall with just four stainless steel bolts. What could be simpler?

The cast marble used in Eumar’s products is lightweight, resists bacteria, and can be easily cleaned and polished to remove minor scratches. The idea, inspired by a national park in Sweden, was a collaboration between company founder Eumar Santhenica and members of the Swedish design firm We Think. via Trendir.
