GlasShine Lights up Drinks

by marczeale

The folks at GlasShine may have developed the world’s first “interactive” tumbler for drinks, one that infuses the clear glass with any one of five different colors with the touch of your hand. These unique glasses come in four different sizes, for whiskey, beer, shots, or long drinks. The glass bottoms can also be personalized with logos for branding, internal marketing, and souvenirs. The light that illuminates from within the glass accents this transparent design quite well. These will likely be adapted for restaurants, hotels, bars, and other eateries in the future. The first production models of these glasses will be sold in Europe this summer, and the company will begin accepting orders on their website soon after. The technology behind this glassware produced in Poland uses optics and electronics to use the energy transferred by the hand to light up the glass. As soon as you let go, the light fades away. For more information, visit the GlasShine website here.
