2010 BMW Z4 Roadster Stands Tall
by marczeale
The new 2010 BMW Z4 Roadster hovers around $50,000, but its styling and sexy profile make it worth every penny. For one, the optional 7-speed double-clutch gearbox has a sophisticated electro-hydraulic mechanism that gives drivers more control from full automatic to manual shift, ensuring smooth transition.
Freedom of choice continues through the power train, where buyers can choose from among three high-performance engines, the sDrive23i, sDrive30i, and the sDrive35i, which carries 306hp at 5,800rpm, and reaches the benchmark 62mph in just over five seconds. Top speed is a respectable 155mph, but that’s not why BMW owners will be interested in this vehicle.
More important will be the larger dimensions and aluminum retractable roof that offers this model more head and legroom, being 148mm longer and 9mm wider than last year’s model. Stretching out in the latest sexy Beamer never felt so good. Detail styling also improves visibility, particularly at the windows, where four power windows give 40 percent more to look at.
The Z4 is impressive on gas mileage, where even the most powerful engine enjoys 30mpg. All three powerhouses enjoy CO2 emissions around 200g/km, which are better-than-average marks in terms of EU5 standards. Learn more here.
