Royal Plantation Jamaica – An Island Tradition

by marczeale

Feeling like a little fun in the sun? Your island paradise awaits you in Ocho Rios, home of the elegant Royal Plantation that has welcomed travelers to the Caribbean coast for over 50 years.

The inn’s 74 suites are set on a bluff overlooking the beachside site, and its atmosphere invites couples to lounge away the afternoon hours among white sands and pristine waters.

Their elite Royal Plan adds a list of desirable extras to a discerning visitor’s stay, including access to a wide range of outdoor activities as well as a spa and fitness center, gourmet dinners from one of three fine kitchens, and beach butler service. Private dinners for two can be arranged with a choice of locations, and moonlight picnics are scheduled when the moon is full.

The resort’s attention to the smallest details – from a selection of bed pillows to weekly cocktail parties to nature tours led by its Head Landscaper – are the things that have made the Royal Plantation an industry favorite for years. The site has been among the 25 top destinations on Condé Nast’s Readers Poll for the last three years, and TripAdvisor has named it their best all-inclusive resort in the world for 2008 and 2009.

From all the resorts on the island, I would say this is the most romantic. It has the feel of old Jamaica, but with today’s comforts and luxury mixed in. A perfect honeymoon escape. All my guests have left with amazing memories.
