Zanotta – Eclectic Italian Style

by marczeale

Contemporary furniture should be colorful. It should reflect a sense of plasticity, inspiring the changing dynamics of modern tastes that dress up the bare walls of spacious interiors with select pieces that instantly transform the mood of a room.

Such is the inspiration that defines furniture designed by the Italian firm Zanotta. Established in 1954, the firm has been a recognized leader for innovative and eclectic furniture. Their designs are never safe, always challenging the status quo or embracing a brave spirit that, combined with world-class designers, makes for brilliantly diverse home furnishings.

Their collection includes pieces with a variation of old and new styles, basic shapes and new creations. The Koochy and Club sofas, for instance, feature self-extinguishing polyurethane foam upholstery, steel frames, and removable external covers in leather or fabric. The simple beds, like the Night and Alfa models, which have natural bent beech strips that can be adjusted for stiffness.

Then there is the Edizioni collection, where the imaginations of bold designers really take shape. Here is a company that has remained solvent by thinking outside the box, even if some of their pieces resemble one. See more contemporary furniture here.

I liked the Domino bed from Zanotta. It’s a beauty to behold. Focusing on minimalism coupled with utlmost comfort.
