Magical Lamps by Chiara Lampugnani

by Magneto

Chiara Lampugnani specializes in the artistic treatment of metals. Her work is a range of art and design. A lot of her work is based on a combination between handwork and material performances. Her lamps represent her focus on the peculiarities of materials.

She created a series of lamps where optic fibres are illuminated by LED, and acts like an embroidering tread that covers different types of surfaces. The design creates an impression that light may be tangible.

The glowing objects resemble the glow of the moon and stars, casting a magical atmosphere in interior spaces. Some of her designs have shapes that are similar to sea creatures such as the jellyfish creating a sense of life.

The inspiration for the lamp designs come from the emotion of creating something new, appealing, and functional that brings a magical sense. To see more information photos of her projects please click here.
