Vladimir Kagan began designing in 1946, and by the early 50’s his innovative sculptured designs created a new type of look in American furniture. Today his creations are on the cutting edge of the 21^st century making him one the most enduring designers of contemporary furniture. He is one of the most important furniture designers of the 20^th century. Many of the furniture he designed have become icons in the forties, fifties, and the sixties. His designs are very up to date with today’s contemporary furniture, and he mostly focus on creating sofas and lounge chairs although he may design other furniture such as tables.
