Square Root Table by Josh Tuminella

by Ascent

We always appreciate designs that stray a little bit away from the more conventional design methods and this is for sure one of them. This is the Square Root table that has been designed by Josh Tuminella, and the most amazing part about this table is just that, the parts, of which there is only 10 parts total. The table is made up of walnut, aluminum, biscuits, glue, and 4 screws. It has been specially designed to be easy to repair and Josh says that it will absorb dings and nicks in a special way that displays the personality and identity of the owner.

Josh’s site give some information on his background, personally and career-wise as well as featuring more of his products.

Floating White Dresser by Ronald Tuber

by Ascent

Optical illusions are becoming a more popular way of designing furniture, and this new dresser , the floating white dresser, that was designed by Ronald Tuber is an excellent example of that style of design. It is meant to be secured to any wall at about 20 to 25 cm above the floor which then gives the illusion that the dresser is floating above the ground on it’s own. The top is rounded off and can be opened with two dampers. This is definitely a piece that will excite, astound and make all of your visitors ask a lot of questions as soon as they walk into your house and see it.

If the idea of floating furniture sounds like your cup of tea, you can order it here.
