Corner Lamp by Ji Young Shon

Ji Young Shon is an artist/designer from Korea who is currently freelancing as a designer while she studies Innovation Design Engineering at Royal College of Art in London.  Ji has backgrounds in science as well, experience in Physics, Electronic Engineering and Molecular Biology.  It might seem that these concepts wouldn’t always apply to field of designing furniture, but Ji views the whole thing as one big project and uses all of her assets to strategize through it all.

This Corner Lamp, an original Ji Young Shon design, leaves us asking why someone didn’t think of this much sooner.  It takes up less space than a normal lamp by slipping unnoticed into the corner, while still providing a full amount of light.  More about Ji Young Shon can be found at her site, which outlines more of her upcoming projects and exhibitions.
