The W.W Stool is a Fantasy Stool

The W. W. Stool was designed by Philippe Starck as a set piece for a fantasy office environment setting for film director Wim Wenders. There are a few pieces of the decor created for the project. Soon after the design entered production.

The fluid tentacle design is not only an appealing piece, it is functional as well. It may function as a piece of furniture although it would provide more comfort serving as a stand against a bar stool rather than for sitting down. Therefore, comfort level is quite limited.

The stool is more of a sculpture than a piece of furniture that is purely functional. With its soft elegant curves and organic appearance, many would prefer to use it as a piece of admirable artwork.
