Interesting Wooden Designs from Courtney Skott

Courtney Skott is a modern furniture designer that grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and says that her first real design gig was when she designed the set for her senior year high school play. She went on to study at the University of Texas in Austin as an Engineering major and ended up graduating with a degree in journalism in 1996. After some other school programs, unrelated to furniture design, she attended and graduated from the Wood/Furniture program at the California College of Arts in 2006. Courtney’s work definitely displays a deep knowledge of wood and how to manipulate it to become much more than it appears at face value.
