Printed Patterns that Add an Ancient Feel in a Modern Environment

The printed patterns that covered the cupboard from Folkform’s Hidden Layers collection are inspired by the layers of peeling wallpaper form an old council flat from outside Stockholm. The project highlights the beauty of aging material and focused on the idea of a surface destroyed by time and usage.

The cupboard may be a brand new cupboard, but adds an ancient feel to modern spaces because of the fading wall designs that are not actually destroyed by frequent usage.

The patterns sure make an interesting addition to a plain white closet. The elegant flowery details make a great difference in making the piece a unique piece of furniture. Please see here for more details.
