Etch Web is not for Arachnophobics

Many product designers like to experiment with strange visual effects by mixing geometric forms and unusual structures. English designer Tom Dixon had lot of fun, too, while creating his latest hanging light called Etch Web. This brilliant design piece reproduces and repeats a pentagon 60 times across the lamp’s core structure to construct a 65 cm diameter copper sphere. The bulb has been suspended within the centre of the lamp. Once the light is turned on the visual effect is truly fascinating: futuristic web effects and shadow plays appear on the surrounding walls.
