The Belgian company Atelier d’Architecture Bruno Erpicum & Partners (AABE), designed this see-through house, with spectacular views of the Balearic coast in Spain.

The house is breathtaking in its simplicity and minimalism. Following on from their work on the similarly tranquil Infinity House, AABE have gone one step further and constructed a building that is almost completely transparent. The rooftop pool, access to which can be gained to by a simple white staircase, is just one of many details that make this house an almost perfect space for relaxation.

The architects themselves describe it, in rather dramatic and poetic fashion, as “A butterfly conservatory, the key thrown away: a space defined by the transparency of the windows, an infinite space where thoughts take flight at the whim of imagination.”

A space defined by the transparency, openness and simplicity.

The pool is a feature of the countryside. The water element connects the house with the sea.
