Luckily there are more and more designers around who are committed to create long-lasting and environmentally-friendly toys. More importantly, these product designers would like to improve our children’s imagination too.

British creative minds David Goodman and Zoe Miller from studio millergoodman came up with a great toy idea for both kids and adults. FaceMaker comes with 25 unique, hand-printed wooden blocks that can be combined and puzzled together in endless ways. The toy will definitely boost up your creativity and you will discover thousands of funny faces and characters. What will you make: a princess, a viking, a clown or a character only you can imagine?

FaceMaker will be available beginning March and first time it will be presented at HOME that is an interior design and lighting trade show in London (15 – 17 January, 2012). The toy measures 21cm x 21cm x 4.5cm, weighs 1.2 kg and costs £32. All the faces shown below were made with one block set.

The design company created a deluxe version of FaceMaker that features a black wooden frame too and allows the blocks to be played within the frame. Good news is that these custom frames can be hung on the wall so everyone can admire your amazing art piece and creativity. The environmentally-friendly FaceMaker is great fun and whatever your age you’ll be inspired to play and think out of the box.

Millergoodman is based in the UK and specializes in creative and inspirational toys and has already created some other special items such as ShapeMaker and PlayShapes. All their products perfectly represent the company’s commitment to combine function with the highest design principles, producing beautiful, sensitive new classics in the children’s toy market.Lastly another cool thing: ShapeMaker (the company’s first block toy) and FaceMaker can be combined for even more possibilities.
