Eero Aarnio has created a really nice hanging chair that goes by the name of the Bubble Chair. This chair was first created in Finland in 1968 and is still turning heads with new releases of it to this day. It is made out of chromed acrylic and chromed or stainless steel. Kenneth Cobonpue Uses Organic Materials to Create Contemporary Furniture

Kenneth Cobonpue studied Industrial Design at the Pratt Institute in New York. Before he graduated, he was an apprentice for a leather and wood workshop near Florence, Italy. In 1994, he studied Furniture Marketing and Production under a scholarship program in Germany. He is now rising to success as one of the icons of contemporary design along with famous designers such as Philippe Stark and Antonio Citterio. He is also well-recognized in Asia and received many awards. His designs are organically unique.

Although he uses a variety of materials for his designs, he is well-known for using organic materials. These materials are from plants which include Abaca, Bamboo, Buri, and Rattan. The materials are often used in traditional furniture that is common in Asia, and Kenneth Cobonpue takes these same materials and uses them create contemporary furniture. The Blobina Seat

The Blobina seat is furniture design and colorful contemporary art fused together. The seat resembles a large boulder with a soft contoured cushion. Designed by Karim Rashid and manufactured by Meritalia, this seat uses the latest in polyurethane manipulation. The Blobina is comprised up of its structure, which is made from foamed flexible cold-molded polyurethane, its cover base, which is made of heat-molded polyurethane and its cover, which is made of a specially designed bright colored fabric.

Ying and Yang lounger

Designed exclusively for Dedon by the Swiss-born designer Nicolas Tompkins, the Ying and Yang lounger is part of the signature collection of indoor/outdoor lounge seating from Janus et Cie.  Inspired by the beauty and ancient traditions of Olango Beach on Cebu Island in the Philippines, this lounger is designed to resemble the crescents of the ancient Ying and Yang Chinese symbol. The chairs are made of hand-woven hularo fiber on an epoxy powder-coated aluminum tube frame.  Each individual chair is 32.8” high, 75.2” wide and weighs about 66 pounds. They can be used either individual on their own or set back to back as a set.
