We often look at homes that are from all corners of the world although you don’t always have to go far out of your backyard to find something spectacular. There is an abundance of great homes right here in America and that is thanks to all the great architects that are working and designing buildings here. One of our favorite things to see is a remodel of a house where it was one way when it was first built and then redesigned to be almost unrecognizable, but in a good way. Today we’re going to be taking a look at an example of that, this is the New York Cottage.

The original house was built in the 1960s but the remodeling has definitely moved it into the modern world. The new structure was designed by Method Design and it is located in Pound Ridge, New York. It has a very unique shape, one that is not often seen too much in houses these days but it is a very refreshing approach on creating a very nice living space for the occupants.
